We use MAAN Studio in South London for some of our workshops. It is a well equipped, clean and bright studio located inside an old railway arch. Its an ideal creative space for our workshops.
The studio is located at Unit 2, 1 Watts Mews, off Conyers Road, Streatham, London SW16 6AA – see map below.
The closest public transport is Streatham Common overground rail station. From there it is a 10 min walk to the studio.
Directions: If you’re coming on the train to Streatham Common rail station (from Clapham Junction or Balham) exit on Platform 1 and leave through the main station entrance to Estreham Road. Turn left out of the station. Keep walking down Estreham Road, past the Hyderi Islamic Centre on your right on the opposite side of the road.
Keep walking, following the train tracks on your left for approx 4 -5 mins walk from the station, then at the end of the metal railings there is an underpass on the left, sign posted To Potters Lane. Go through the underpass.
Once through the underpass, go straight ahead, until you reach Conyers Road. At Conyer Road, bear right and you should see the entrance gates to your left, just past a small row of houses. Entrance to Watts Mews is the through the big black gates to the left of the pumping station. Look for the Empire Arches sign. Walk through the arch and the studio (Unit two) is the first unit on the right.
Driving & Parking: There is free on-street parking outside the studio on adjacent streets such as Conyers Road and Gleneagle Road and surrounding areas.
Nearby shops: There are no shops within a 5 min walk so if you are with us for a full day workshop you may wish to bring lunch with you. The small Carvalhos Cafe is on the corner of Natal Road/Hambro Road is about three mins walk away from the studio. Outside Streatham Common station there are numerous food shops such as Tesco, Aldi and M&S Food Hall plus a cafe.
